This dataset contains the genotype locus file for MapQTL, raw internode length phenotype data and flowering loci genotyping, MapQTL traitfiles, and linkage mapping file generated from an F2 population derived from a cross between a wild (G12873) and domesticated (Midas) common bean. Genotype data was obtained through DArT, and the linkage map was generated using the JoinMap program. The F2 population was grown under long-day conditions.

An F2 population (N=300) derived from a cross between a wild (G12873) x domesticated (Midas) common bean, was grown under long-day conditions in a temperature controlled glasshouse. From this, DNA was extracted and sent for DArT sequencing for 274 F2 individuals. The obtained molecular marker data was then used to generate a linkage map (using JoinMap), and the length of every internode from each F2 individual was measured. From this QTL analysis was performed using MapQTL on the collected phenotype (internode length) data.
